The Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation, with funding from Philadelphia Dunkin’ franchisee Sonny Ho, proudly awarded a $150,000 grant to the Police Athletic League (PAL) of Philadelphia—an incredible boost to the organization’s mission of supporting youth through positive police engagement and community programming.
To mark the occasion, families gathered at Harrowgate PAL for a day filled with joy and community spirit. The event featured:
- A ceremonial check presentation honoring Sonny’s donation
- Donut decorating stations that delighted kids and adults alike
- A “Create Your Own Dunkin’ Tumbler” activity encouraging artistic expression
- A special appearance by Sprinkles, the beloved Dunkin’ mascot, who brought smiles and laughter to the crowd
The celebration also unveiled new branded PAL signage, which will help families easily identify their local PAL center and increase awareness about the organization’s programming for children.
This grant will help PAL continue its vital work in providing safe spaces, mentorship, and enrichment opportunities for Philadelphia’s youth. It’s a shining example of how corporate and community collaboration can make a lasting impact.
